Planting Flower Seedlings & Harvesting Spring Crops! Garden Answer Jenn: I love these videos! I do have a question for anybody that has knowledge/experience. Laura inspired me to use Bio-tone Starter when transplanting. The problem is that my dogs seem to love the smell and they want to eat it in the soil. I stopped them when they just barely got into it on transplant day and they have been fine (4 days ago. We have not allowed them in the area since. I forgot I had a small 4 lb bag in the garage and my golden lab decided to pull it out for a snack today. He opened the bag but it is still almost 4 lbs. It has since been moved out of their reach, and Im very mindful of where it sits going forward. Im just wondering if anybody has had issues with their pets being poisoned by this fertilizer. Are there any signs/symptoms i should be aware of and how long can it take for them to show up? Our 2 dogs are part of our family and we want them to be healthy and safe. Thanks in advance!

Laura, HELP! I purchased a home in the winter of 2021. The home has a huge rock garden with plants like basket of gold and Candytuft and the last being a lot of Myrtle Spurge Euphorbia. I didn't even know what it was until I was cutting it back after blooming and got miserably itchy and my skin burned on my hands and face. Once I figured out what I had I became worried about keeping it. I don't have any children but want to be responsible for someone else who may purchase my house someday. I thought if I kept it contained within the 6 by 20 foot area it grows in it may be okay to leave it or, should it go? Thank you!

I had 10 lily Pink Perfection bulbs that I planted in containers four years ago that decided to sleep in year three. This was a shame as it was a central plant for my patio in the summer and autumn.
Then this April I counted about 60 stalks and now hundreds of flower buds, which should start to bloom in about 3-4 weeks. I will have to divide them in November and give the spare bulbs to friends.

Lol your enthusiasm is enough inspiration for me alone. Ive finally found, hostas at my local nursery, and those beautiful hydrangeas that you grow the lime light etc. so excited to give em a try! Thank you both for all of your advice, about everything you try and thank you also for your recommendations, and honest opinions. Cheers, keep up the good work, green on

home depo, amazon - in Europe, we think twice about saying the name of these supermarkets. you already have such a reputation that you can shape the habits of consumers, take advantage of it! This is not a lecture. each of us struggles with this every day. but worth! let's not make fun of no dig methods, buy from local farmers, let's promote it!

A: Need a duck update: )
B: What is orchard grass?
C: I once read that corn is best planted in a square, so that the wind helps them pollinate thoroughly. I did this, and neglected to stagger my planting, which resulted in a whopping 225 ears of corn ready for harvest AT THE SAME TIME. Like you, live and LEARN: )

You inspired me to start a cut flower garden this year. I've got Dahlias, Zinnia and Marigold I started from seed and a snap dragon that self seeded. I'm gonna try Gladiolus and hunt down some PW Saturn Sunflowers (I think that's the name. You helped me realize that cut flowers bring me the greatest joy in the garden.

Lovely as always! I loved the quiet moment of just nature and surrounding noises. I know youve said you dont listen to anything while youre working, but if you did what would you be listening to? Music, podcast, what kind?
Also, any reason you didnt want to keep the flowers that reseeded from last year?

Hi Laura, I know this is an unrelated comment, but for the Submit your photo video series, what about having one on How are you hiding your well pipe/AC/generator/compost bin/etc? I am going to be tackling this 'hide-and-seek' task this summer and would love to see what other people have done.
