Planting 3 Varieties of Sedum! Tough, Low Maintenance, Heat-Loving Plants! Garden Answer danielle: I just took cuttings from an autumn joy sedum yesterday, is there a best time to do that? I m starting with just water propagation because I want to see root development before putting them in soil. We usually get our first frost in early November and I m just not sure there s time for much root development and then to also establish themselves in a new spot.

The sedum looks great. Especially around the hose link.
I am split with the music. I mean, FB is the only reason why you stopped it and I guess I understand you not wanting to dispute the copyright hits all the time, but why let them drive how you do business? Yeah, it is tough dealing with one platform that is troublesome and annoying.
I did enjoy the ASMR version of the video too. Hearing the natural sounds of gardening is relaxing too.
Either way, I will still enjoy my morning coffee with an awesome garden video. Thanks

The video isn t even finished yet but I had to comment. Aaron, I like it so much more without the music! I love just hearing the natural sounds of working in the garden. Laura, you have said before that when you are working you don t listen to music or podcasts or anything like that. I m the same way! This is much more real. Just my two cents but I vote to keep it like this.

It works! Not using background music while Laura plants is just fine. The music is pretty but also just the sounds of nature, etc. is good too. Love all the sedums. Your gardens look so welcoming & lovely.

You inspired me to plant Autumn Joy sedum last year, and I have absolutely LOVED them all this year. They are so big and lush looking, and now they are starting to turn pink and are even prettier!

I'll be looking for sedum. Bunny's have nibbled everything down to nubs. It is so frustrating. Think they live under our shed. Grrrr. Been rough for a couple of years. Sedum it is. ty.

9: 28 I wish I could be there to see your gardens in person too! Your gardens are gorgeous In the meantime I am just trying to turn my own garden into something beautiful

Wow those Back in Blacks are unbelievable! I am so glad we got to hear the little squeaky noises that sedum makes when you move it around, they are a sensory delight!

These sedums are oddball to my area. The only ones I can find are lemon coral, yellow bouquet, coral reef, and firecracker sedums. Yeah, and Jenny's stonecrop on occasion.

What is wrong with me! I cannot watch a whole video of Garden Answer anymore without hitting pause and running out in the garden or start googling plants and seeds!

I know you spoke of trying the videos without music but I m missing it to be honest. Seems less professional in a way. Still great but just missing something.

Ah, no music. Just the sounds of working in the garden is fine with me.
Question, can all sedums be divided the way you did the one by the hoselink?

reply

Noticed the lack of music as you mentioned in your update and I actually really prefer it. Real garden sounds, even traffic, is surprisingly peaceful.
reply

Love these sedums, added some to my space this year because if you. I m loving the sounds of the garden, we don t need music every time. Well done!
