Planting Some Amazing Plants for Winter Interest! Crazy little tip I always used when rough measuring my plantings was to just used my shovel handle as a measuring stick. That will generally get you close enough so your eye does not detect a difference. Love the idea for an entrance to that section of the garden!

Does anyone know how old Laura is? Mid to late 30s? And married 16 years? Wow, they must have been young then. I remember in a recap they said they got engaged or married after 6 months dating? But Benjamin is just. 4, 5? They must have had a great time being married before kids. I feel like that's the best move haha

Wondering if there might be a hive up in that big tree and that why the bees were buzzing up there. I remember my cousin found a beehive in a very old well that our grandparents dug. She found the old well and all the bees in her garden were living in the well. Amazing. You find bees in some weird places.

Hi Laura have you ever thought of growing a buttonwood tree? They are beautiful very big trees grows up to 70 ft tall and I think 50 ft wide. The bark reminds me of a birch, beautiful peeling bark. My mother in law has one on her property it s beautiful.

Laura s garden is in pristine condition, meanwhile my weeds have taken over and I m considering demolishing everything and planting grass. I don t have drip and it shows. Who has time/energy to water their garden during the heat of the summer?

I taught my koi to eat out of our hands. A raccoon came to the pond and reached out his paw and caught a couple of our fish! Now I throw the food into the middle of the pond. Love your pond and know you will have years of enjoyment!

Question: For smaller spaces that have limited room for all the wonderful plants that are available, what would you use? Say you have 100 square feet how do you get the most out of 4 seasons of interest in a small space?

Aaron + Laura,
Please get a professional bee/wasp/pest expert out there sooner rather than later.
The magnitutde of the very likely nest is going to blow your mind.
Need a pro, immediately; please.

Oh I just LOVE how the juniper look flanking that path! I have tremendously enjoyed watching your property become what it is and will enjoy watching it continue to grow and change!

The fish will become more tame and recognize you. We had a smaller pond with 12 goldfish (which became so many more, they multiply but they also eat the tads) my hubby could pet them.

Enjoyed this video. Suggestion you can easily transplant the sumac trees! Maybe consider placing them on the far side of your new property and let them spread. Love the cedar tree!

Your property is so beautiful, but the new addition of the pond area with the bolders and plantings has elevated your property to a whole new level of fabulocity!

Not sure what type of juniper I have but there are branches that are flopping out. Do I trim those back into shape? If so, what time of year would I do that?

Good morning, Laura! I'm curious with all of your evergreen interest, do you have to watch out for pests such as bag worms or asps?
