Is Larkspur poisonous? I read about it being poisonous in the 1988 book titled Everlastings by Mark and Terry Silber. I just cant believe it! If it is, then I plan not to use it, but this is a great loss. I have already dried a batch for arranging. I spray it with a fixative spray to keep it from shedding but it doesnt work 100 percent. Thank you. McBride Flower Farm NC

I-m in Ontario Canada zone 6b and I-d like to try sowing delphinium seeds this fall. My first frost date is Nov 1-10. So I-ll plant 6-8 weeks before. Could you put out a video on how you sow the seeds and a follow up on how they look in spring? I have no experience with delphinium, which is why I-m asking

Thank you! I am hoping to grow a lot of gorgeous flowers this year. I didn't know to plant my larkspurs in the fall, so I will plant half of the seeds now and keep the other half for the fall.
Do you grow delphiniums? Those are a sentimental flower for me, but I am a bit intimidated by them.

Hi do you keep the small plant indoor in winter? I sowed cone flower seeds in last week of August and all germinated, it is very tiny plant, I am thinking if I plant them outdoor it won't grow coz suddenly weather changed to cooler and thinking of to keep them in indoor,

Are these good to be grown in the front flower beds as the last row plants? Or do they look better open fields and big backyard gardens? My flower bed is right outside my porch and not very big. There is no wall adjacent to it, it's kinda stand alone.

I am am watching this in late august and found your info very helpful. I live in zone 5b. Do you know if larkspur is a hardy annual in this zone? If not, when would I sow it in early spring? Thank you.

Do you know if the perennial delphiniums dry as well? The spikes are bigger and more loose.
Also do you keep cuttings in a water bucket for a while before hanging them to dry?

I-ve winter seen my larkspur and it-s ready to plant so do I just pop them in the ground since they-ve been outside all winter? Not fussy to transplant to soil?

Hey Danielle, I have read that Larkspur (all parts of it) are toxic to humans and animals. How do you keep yourself and your doggo/kitties safe around this plant
