How to make a hydrangea wreath the easy way with Northlawn Flower Farms. All you'll need for this project is a grapevine wreath and a bunch of hydrangeas that are in the right stage for drying with about 4 inches of stem attached. This hydrangea wreath is a great craft to do with kids because it doesn't require a glue gun or wire. Just slip the stems into the grapevine and voila!

Do you have to wait til the hydrangea flower is dried after picking or can you create it with the fresh cut flower? Also sometimes my flowers wilt once i cut them, why is that? I love your idea of putting the stem into the grapvine, but i've tried that and my hy stems bend and break so easily. I would think using wire to secure would be better.

Looks great. I have an Oakleak that bloomed and browned this year - I had heard that happened to some this year? Would you recommend the pannicle type for drying and making wreaths? If so, would you say same method? By the way, I love that you go to nursing homes and do these activities. -

Thanks so much for this video and tips for making such an easy to assemble wreath. So much easier than wiring. Made one in a few minutes last night and gave to a friend who's going through a medical issue. She loved it so much she cried.

You always have great tips and I learned a lot from you. That gave me the idea to try a holly bush wreath for later this year! You should try that. Some will have berries other cuttings won-t. Stay green for a while

My hydrangea blooms always wilt after I pick them, how can I keep them looking freshly picked? The wreath is beautiful!
