This was awesome! Wow! What a beautiful garden you have and your bouquets are fabulous! I wish I lived near you so I could purchase your bouquets on a regular basis. This was very informative! I live in Illinois zone 5. I have grown-GardenParty- which is a white lily with a gold throat and maybe some red/ green thrown in. I have also grown Casa Blanca and Stargazer and love both of them. I have 3/4 of an acre but a lot of my yard is in shade due to mature trees. I really want to try the varieties you mentioned in my sunny areas. Loved, loved this video! You should do a video of your lilies before you pick them to sell-I love the idea for the lilies around your grandmothers chair--She would love it and I believe she is smiling at you from heaven!

Thank you for all the information. I had no idea there were so many lily categories. I'm new to lily's and a bought five varieties last winter. Sorbonne, Litouwen, Brindisi and Menorca. I planted a lot of them in the wrong place because I moved into a new home and didn't account for the shaded corners so I look forward to seeing them preform this year in new locations. If you are looking for more peach colours I can highly recommended Menorca! It's a peachy yellow with a very soft transition and an unusual and beautiful colour. It is an L. A. lily hybrid - which I just learned means Asiatic & Longiflorum.

I could say this for every video of yours-I feel truly thankful for the knowledge you share in an all around beautiful manner. I noticed a previous comment said they plan to rewatch and take notes! Me, too! I think we should all treat ourselves to a little purse size tablet journal for the notes to carry to the garden centers! And to doodle our own ideas inspired by Hummingbird Way pathways and Northlawn Flower Farm. You have mentioned several times how you love Doris Day movies and today at the grocery store magazine section, there was a Doris Day magazine. Of course, I thought of sweet Danielle!

I want people to know however, that all parts of the lily are toxic to cats -. I have to place my arrangements in my bedroom, which is cat free.
I-ve treated many cats for lily intoxication, you have to be really careful if you have indoor cats.
Can-t wait to see and enjoy the new varieties you-ve planted!
I-m in south Jersey in zone 7, so I appreciate being able to see your garden and what works for you.

Great job Danielle. you are such a great speaker and teacher. I love watching your videos. I always learn something new! I have been getting more into the rose lilies as. well, I didn't find they grew as tall as my others but hopefully their second year will be better. I really like growing Eyeliner Lily. its a beautiful white oriental (I believe) with a thin maroon edge. I think you would really like these ones. I also am looking forward to growing the salmon star. such a different colour!

I grew lilies for the first time last year in one gallon containers, they were leggy and I didn't think that they would make it. To my surprise, they bloomed so beautifully! My mother -in -law passed away last year and I gave them away to close family members who really loved them it was a token of appreciation! I am going to grow them again this year. Thank you, for all the different varieties, I didn't know existed.

Hey Danielle! Loving the info! Sitting on the bench and looking up at the lilies that face downward is such a great idea! I saw the red and yellow lilies and I-ve grown an OT lily that looks similar and it is called red Dutch lily. It has a real nice spicy fragrance. It doesn-t get that tall maybe 4-5 feet for me. But I-ve experienced red lily beetles recently so it can be a battle.

Congratulations to the lucky winner! I will be planting lilies this year, although red lily beetle is in our area (Northern NJ) I have worked in garden center retail for many years and last season, everyday I had to manually terminate them from the oriental lilies. I hope I will have a way to protect them; possibly a homemade greenhouse, in crates

I love lilies! I think they are making a resurgence just like Dahlias. Beautiful, reliable and great to grow in containers. I have overwintered Asiatic lilies in containers reliably here in zone 5! I love the fragrance of Oriental lilies. You just need one in a home to fill it with that dreamy scent! - Thank you for your great presentation!

I have eyeliner lilies they are amazing. White with black eyeliner on the edges. they are about 4 ft in my yard. I love them! Also a couple years ago I have some lilies that had Hawaii colors ( pink, yellow, orange, coral etc. I had some pocket gophers came through and ate everyone of them. Now I'm on the lookout again for those this year.

Are Lillie-s repeat bloomers(cut and come again) when used for a cut flower or are they one and done like Stock? I am always looking for flowers and filler that have a long vase life. You are always a delight to watch. Thank you! Also would you consider doing a Q&A video? It would be interesting to hear what other people are asking too.

I plant new Casa Blanca lilies every year because the bunnies take out about half of them. Still worth it, though, since just a few will perfume my entire patio in the evening. I'm adding some rose lilies for the first time -- a variety called Anouska -- and I can't wait to see those bloom. Better get my hands on some chicken wire first!

Ordered from -botanus Budlight Oriental Trumpet, Captain Tricolour Oriental, Roselily Sita Dble Oriental, Fata Morgana Asiatic Kiss, Sweet Surrender Tiger Lily. These will all be new to me this year in my new Zone6 garden. Couldn-t resist ordering Casablanca and Stargazer as I had great success with those in my previous Zone8b garden.

I am a beginner gardener but my mom always loved her Lilies. I on the other hand have never cared for them because of the mess they make in a bouquet when I have purchased them from the store. Is there something you can do to prevent this? Love all the info and for the first time I would love to incorporate them in some of my garden. -

Do you remember Lilytopia at Longwood gardens? It was around 2009. I had purchased many new varieties of lilies at that time. I still have them growing beautifully in my garden. They're so easy to grow and they multiply! Plus, I love the fragrance of them. In the summer we can smell them from our deck!

Great video as always! I am never disappointed by your videos they are always full of knowledge and information that I love listening to. Good luck with all your beautiful lilies! I have not grown many lilies. My gardens are in partial shade so I am going to try but not sure how much luck I will have.

I-ve ordered a bunch of rose lilies for this year. I have a bunch of stargazer, Casablanca and a few similar varieties but I-m excited about the rose lilies! Have you heard of the Apricot Fudge lily? I put that one in last fall, it-s really unique and I can-t wait to see it bloom!

Great video! That bouquet at 4: 50 that is just amazing - Please make more bouquet for us this year if possible! I have 'Apricot Fudge' in the garden, it didn't last very long compared to Roselily Patricia (which is similar to Editha which was sold out) but the color was pretty -

I love Forever Susan, a striking asiatic lily with maroon center and orange edges. It has done well for me in the garden and looks great in a warm colored border. I don't know how it does as a cut flower. It could be interesting in one of your dark compositions.
