Join Joe Robinet and me as we paddle for 8 days through Woodland Caribou Provincial Park in northwestern Ontario in search of monster walleye, lake trout and northern pike. We encounter moose, bears, eagles, wicked storms, forest fires and countless fish. Mary: Hello, I know it's a lots of fun to go on a fishing trip especially where you all went, I would love to be able to go on a trip like that, but I live in Mississippi and it would cost me to much, we fish around here but it's not like where you all are at. i love to watch your videos, be careful and enjoy your selves, God bless you two.

Had to go back and watch this again. This was an amzing trip. I've mention to you before that a trip like this is on my bicket list. I take canoe/kayaking trips often here. The area I live has nothing like the kind of nature you all experienced. I really need to get to where I can venture out further than the state of SC, We have some nice areas upstate, but I live on the coast. The beaches are beautiful and I'm grateful to live here of course. At the same time I want to see a bear, a moose, have a pan full of walleye. I've never had the pleasure of any of those. Also, it is rare here to have wilderness so remote that you only hear nature. I spent the night on the river the other night. Had some dirt time, that's what I call my short 1 night trips. It was great to get away, but I could hear the echo of traffic. I'm not complaining, just stating that I look forward to a trip where there is no one around but mother nature.
I'll stop rambling now and get back to sleep. See you at the cabin Friday. Hope you have a good week.

Shawn, This popped up in my feed. Very interesting. Don't forget to have some of this type of time in your busy year this year. I've been cutting down trees too today. You really are a bad influence! Not very big, it has to be said 20' or so. I'm still clearing and weeding my allotment. Trees are starting to wake up, so got them just in time. Regards Stephen.

Hey Shawn, what lake did you land on going in? And what was your loose itinerary? Basically, which loop did you choose? I checked Joe's vlog, but as usual he's more interested in showing off his new shiny gear, picking his nose, and giggling, than providing details. Thanks, brother.

Tell me you guys had some protection. When I head into the Aderondacts I dont leave without my sub 2k gen2 in 40S&W. With the barrel length its like a 10mm semi auto. Enough to drop a charging black bear or dinner.

Exchanged a few emails with Harlan earlier this year. Bought a map from him as well. Planning on fly in trip next spring in 2019, probably solo, for some early trout fishing. Looking forward to it already.

Hi Shawn, never hear you talk about snakes. Don't you have any? Cheers and thanks. Keep on keeping on from this old Sheila in South Australia where there are plenty of snakes. Lol.

I felt terrified for both of you, having watched the video with both of you battling the crazy weather. It was frightening! Glad you both survived it to tell the tail.
