Log Cabin Build in a Rain Storm with My Dog Off Grid Sauna

Storms roll through the area at the off grid log cabin in the wilderness, hampering my efforts to complete the front porch on the sauna bathhouse. Cali, my golden retriever, loves the rain and the cooler weather of early fall in Canada and enjoys are long walks in the forest exploring the lakes and rivers around the homestead

Jesse Hernandez here, from Alhambra, California, near Los Angeles. I've watched several of your videos and have a lot to say. I have some ideas for you, if you allow me to share them with you. Your log cabin is beautiful, so is the sauna, wood shed and your new life. It's very romantic and a charming life, which I've also dreamed of and wanted, since a young boy but had to grow up in Los Angeles, which has been fun, interesting, a challenge but difficult, at times. I hope you and your wife live many blessed and healthy years and that your fanbase, continues to grow, picking up sponsors along the way. Money is not everything. Money is not complete happiness or material wealth. I'm leaving this small suburb soon, myself, God Willing, so I can build my own home, somewhere in rural California, away from Los Angeles. Thank you for sharing all this with us. God bless everyone. US Olympic hopeful, boxing prospect 1988-2010; home and auto restorations artist, designer of sporting and camping products. Get me out of here! ;-): -)

Thank you for uploading this. Fall is my favorite time of year! In Alberta, we don't get those reds from the maple trees. so i want to thank you for letting me see that. the contrast of the red against the green. wow. such beauty! I also understand the way people have changes in mood with season changes. I had severe Vit D deficiency for 20 years that led to depression that use to start end of Sept. and lift end of February. Dec/Jan. use to be the worst but I do well now with supplements (Vit D3 with K2. I also knew a native american who would get very ansy in Fall. Perhaps cellular memory urging him to keep preparing for Winter/move further South?

As a woman growing up in the Pacific Northwest, I feel that urge to hunt and forage from mid spring through late fall. I grew up being able to express my desires to forage and harvest, but not yet for hunting. Now I'm in my second year of living in Nova Scotia, and the longer winter and comparative paucity of foraging compared to home has had me feeling anxious and depressed. Once I get my degree I'm heading back to my homeland. With enough work, everything else will follow.

Hey. I was wondering why you char the ends of your logs before putting them in the ground. I was thinking possibly to keep termites away or to help prevent rot. Also I noticed when you were adding the side porch on your cabin you were brushing something on the bottom stringers before nailing them to the side of the cabin, was that something like creosol? Thanks in advance and please give Cali a hug for me. L. O. L.

Animal fat is very bad, it accumulates in your organs and arteries, investigate and you will see it.
Thank you for your videos, I like them a lot, less when you speak because I am Spanish. hehe.
Best regards

Not to be a smart ass or a comedian, but with all the rocks that are in Canadian soil, why not build a house out of rock and mortar?
