I dig the foundation and lay wood footings for my new log cabin in the Canadian wilderness and my wife, daughter, dog and I go paddling down a river. Alex: Also just want to say, as a person living in Texas, it's always fun to watch people be able to dig a hole more than 3 deep without a hydraulic rock crusher Limestone and bedrock are only about a foot from the surface here

My partner and I just picked up 16 acres of land and intend on building our own little home on it. We would like to be as self sufficient as we can eventually. Always love your videos, and look forward to building something of our own! It's awesome to see people who still enjoy this type of thing: ) Appreciate you, fellow Canadian! (Nova Scotia, originally from Northern Ontario): )

do you have a separate chat for the opportunity to ask questions, it is desirable to hide them for your safety? In Russia, because it is better to ask these questions secretly. I am very interested in your forest law (if any) for such buildings and the use of natural objects as materials to ensure the life of an individual (man) in open nature.

Been a number one fan of you Shawn since 2019.
you have got to be the inspiration of many, to me, you are one of the reason pursuing things in life to also soon make such a project like this here in Siargao.
HAT'S DOWN!

WOW Shawn. That sure is a LOT of excavating for one guy with hand tools. As always you are an inspiration for maintaining and improving an honest work ethic. Looking forward to all of the new homestead construction videos.

I like your videos. So relaxing. I sometimes forget this is from Canada because the landscape is so similar to what we have here in Finland: D Do you have plans to build a new sauna once the cabin is ready?

30 Mins of awesomeness that probably took 4 1/2 hours to film, set up and do the actual work - not including the actual digging. Hats of to you Shawn - you give your best for everything you do.

Shawn - you're an inspiration. Going to work on my property this weekend and it's always encouraging/convicting to see how much work you put in BY HAND. Thanks for sharing the journey with us.
