NEWBIE SHOOTS All My GUNS! (too scared to shoot the BIG ONE)

I teach my little brother Kevin how to shoot guns. He has never shot a 270 riffle before, or shotgun, or 22 LR, 20 shot gun. I'll show you a bit on how to shoot a gun including the types of ammunition. Kevin will shoot the 22 long rifle first and then try the 20 and 12 gauge shotguns. I picked up a new Hell's Canyon Browning 270 for big game such as deer, coyote and even moose. The 22 LR is for small game such as squirrel, raccoon and hare. The 20 is a 870 Remington express, a rather cheap gun, but it comes with a rifled barrel for shooting slugs. It will shoot both shot and slugs making it an all around gun. As a 20 gauge, it shoots less shot, but can be good on ducks and geese, turkey at close range. The 12 gauge Browning shoots bigger stuff so it more effective at long range

Since everyone is busting Kevin's balls I want to give him some encouragement. Kevin you done great for it being your first time. As you shoot more and become more comfortable with firearms you'll start to enjoy shooting. I, myself find it very relaxing. Also you have damn good construction skills. I hope you and Chris do more videos together and to Chris your doing a great job raising your son. He seems to have a great work ethic and obviously he's following in his dad's footsteps because he loves the outdoors. Great video. Full stop.

Great video. Very fun times and for some reason I find recoil actually fun. I think he should shoot the. 270 just for the experience of it. 1 and done, just like with the. 500mag I fired. Also firing slugs from a smooth bore shotgun barrel won't hurt the barrel, you just won't be as accurate for longer distances because it doesn't stabilize the slug with the spin from a rifled barrel. Nice and informative too.

Good video but you was wrong on one thing ther are rifle slugs ment to be shot out of a smooth bore barrel like the vent rip bird barrel just make shour if it takes chockes it's got the right one I think it was full check and dont shoot led rifled slugs out of a rifle barrel only Sabith usually ther copper you will kill the barrel over time the rifling will fill with led and mess it up over time

Hey Chris, who is more to blame for him being like this? You, for not stopping him for playing with dolls through out his high school years, or your sister for letting him wear her clothes and braiding his hair on -girls night-. I figgered this day would come. anyone who watched him make his -McSissy McMuffin- knows what I mean! :>)>

I had a Browning BAR that was an awesome gun. Could hit a 4- gong at 300 yards all day long with very little kick. My POS ex claimed he 'sold' it to a friend of his just to keep me from getting it in the divorce. A few years later I had a cop run all the serial numbers from my guns, and he had my gun registered in his name.

All this content is covered in the required federal course for a license to own firearms in Canada. We've got a great system for this education. One day course, -50 for most places. Every country should have this just like we have driver's tests. Then for hunting, another on day course, although it can be done online.

First experience shooting is good. Kevin did well. Shotgun -bullets-, not quite correct. I would have encouraged Kevin to shoot the. 22 all day long. Brothers are brothers of course and you want to see how far you can get him to go.

Everyone should know how to use a gun and YES HE SHOULD DO IT he have to try all the guns you did the chainsaw and he was making fun of you but you stepped up and did it so HE DONT HAVE A CHOICE HE HAVE TO DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT.

The one thing I can say is practice, practice. And then practice some more. I've been shooting for over sixty years. Also learning to mount the gun to the shoulder so it doesn't slap you takes practice.

I guess we-ll never get to see Kevin shoot a Thompson for fun. oh well.
The kick/punch is entirely dependent on the gun, not the size of the ammo- I have a 25 that kicks harder than a 9!
