BIGGEST Fish Caught from a Dock

While we were filleting squid that we had caught during our swordfish trip that day, Preston hooked a jack crevalle, and out of nowhere, a massive goliath grouper came up from the depths and tried to eat his fish. I quickly grabbed the 130 and ran to the fillet table. I put the jack on the hook, and within seconds, this monster goliath grouper returned and swallowed the jack. After an intense fight, I managed to beat the subdue the beast. This fish was massive, the biggest I've ever caught from a dock I estimate the weight between 300-400lbs. The goliath grouper was safely released.

Awesome A Goliath grouper from a dock. great video as always josh, it never gets old watching your videos. if you ever feel like you need some competition when it comes to sharks and Goliaths, let me know. because to b honest, my 130-unlimited setup is sitting in the bedroom collecting dust waiting for its first shark or Goliath. so what do you say Josh? me vs you in a match to be the fastest to bring in a Goliath or shark. If you need proof I have the setup to do it with, let me know and I can send you the email. all I would really like out of the deal is to test out the setup, plus if anything was to happen I would take full responsibility. if you feel up to it, I'll be waiting.

Sweet I was nearly spooled by a 40+# Redfish off the dock at Captiva. Before I could stop her it was in the pilings of the neighbor's dock. 20 minutes later it cut the line on the barnacles but not after pulling it out three times. My reel just wouldn't hold it. Burned my fingers trying to add drag. Meh. These things happen.

That is so damn wild They're suppose to be out there a good distance man Wonder why it's decided to live inshore like that instead of further out near the Pelagic areas?

Always enjoy the vids, I always fish from shore, so this was cool to see wish I could catch something that big. This makes my videos look like I'm catching minnows lol
