Josh and Dylan started off fishing for houndfish from the jetty. As the incoming tide grew stronger, mackerel and jacks started chasing glass minnows and the bite became epic We were catching fish nearly every cast In total, we caught four different species: Houndfish, Cero Mackerel, Jack Crevalle, and Spanish Mackerel.

I never heard them called hound fish before. I always thought they were in the gar family. In fact we always called them needle nose gar. I have eaten them before and they are not bad. They also make good cut bait. Also, you should of kept the Spanish, for they are GREAT eating if you cook them right. Cut mackerel also make very good bait for many types of fish, including catfish.

I've caught those fishing for kings and smacks down in tx. They can get pretty big. Didn't know till I hooked the first one. It was probably a good 35 in. I thought it was a king when I hooked it. It made a big boil. They fight pretty good when they are big

I've watched so many of your videos love your content. You can really tell this guy truly loves fishing hearing the excitement in his voice even for these small fish compared to some of the sharks i've watched you land.

I'm from Ohio so I can't really relate to catching these fish, but when he talks about going for a 5 pounder I feel him cause I go for bass that size all the time. i wish I could fish the ocean more often

When I was in Costa Rica I caught a really big Houndfish, I asked my guide what they called it in Spanish and his answer was Basura - literally trash in English, lol, it did put up a good fight though

I've watched a bunch of your videos, what happens to all the fish that swallow hooks, and all of the sharks where the hooks stay in their mouths? Seems like this would injure or kill the fish.
