Sailfish, Mahi and Jacks on the Bronx Tale - 4K

Josh goes fishing offshore on the Bronx Tale and the targeted species is sailfish. We started off the day slow-trolling live baits behind the boat. Within five minutes, we hooked our first sailfish. Grant fought this amazing fish for nearly 30 minutes before Josh landed it. The sailfish was foul-hooked in the dorsal fin. After releasing the sailfish, we headed back to the ledge. The water turned green and nasty, which isn't good for sailfish. We decided to try shark fishing. We had one bite, but the sharks were also turned off by the green water. Josh managed to catch a nice mahi-mahi before heading in back to the dock. At the dock, we had some fun fishing for jack crevalles

Hey blacktiph I use your leaders for land based shark fishing and I've been out twice now and had four different times where the Sharks pick up the baits and when I try to set the hook, it's like I'm just yanking the bonito out their mouths. I'm hooking it through the bonitas eyes underneath the bone so it's pretty secure but leaves plenty of hook exposed. Is it supposed to set itself or do I set it on my own? Really would appreciate your expert input here, what am I doing wrong? I'm getting plenty of pickups just no hook setting

I had a jack on once and he spooled me but it wasn't my fault I wasn't off shore fishing and I had 8bl line and regular beach fishing equipment and I was only 2 steps in the water what was he doing there

Mad respect for the fact that you practice catch and release, seems no one else really does these days. You're a beast at what you do mean, keep on landing those beasts

The only fish you can catch in a harbor is halibut, bass, mackerel, guitar fish, perch, and lots more but nothing big like jacks

Amazing job Josh Try catching one of those Jacks on a ice rode. That would be an amazing challenge. Like always tight lines.
