wow the power of that fish when it pulled its tail. incredible. also its amazing just remembering that the waters surrounding florida was once filled with sawfish, as many of their bones were discovered within native american burial sites all over florida, especially indian mounds, along with many other shark species including Megalodon. i guess every creature has its origin points, apparently Florida was one major hotspot for such creatures.

Shame to see you so unprepared when dealing with this species. Get some steel gauntlets you can afford them. Measure it effectively and unhook that guy, it deserves that much. Be a role model for fish care bro it's nothing but respect to care for the fish so it lives on strong and is able to reproduce stronger for the next generation to grow larger. Much love

Thank you for being so responsible about handling it. I wish everyone showed that level of concern when coming into contact with a critically endangered species. That said; I hope you had the sense to stop and buy a lottery ticket on the way home, because your odds of winning that probably aren't much worse than the odds of hooking into that fish.

Sorry but you hook them then cut it away. All i saw there was a fish going off with a length of line and hook still in it's mouth. Cut it however you like but you are littering the ocean and leaving animals not as you found them.

I'm curious to how he knew he had a sawfish hooked in the beginning of video when he had not seen the fish surface yet and he's never caught one ever before. I'm really curious what happened that made sawfish come to mind?

Technically if a critically endangered species is on the line, why does the safety of the 7 billion species come first: p just sayin. Not rly an activist or anything so spare ur hate. Just an objective note.

I've been searching for 10 minutes and I can't figure it out so can somebody please tell me why a sawfish has to stay in the water at all times? I'm just so curious lol
