They absolutely smell like fish and quess what. they even have a fishy little taste to them. In my eyes those were as fresh as could barely out of the Sea.
But who am I. I can eat them only one time a year if I'm very lucky, way too expensive but o so nice.

Enjoy your life Jay, know generally when fish turns fishes smell rise off it the start of the fish going bad I think you did the right thing not eating the scallops, Jay one more thing I in joy the video but you tube has to many commercial in your videos they piss me off

As long as the scallops were alive they are good. Bay scallops smell taste funky to me to begin with. I love sea scallops better. Sweeter and more tender. Bay scallops are fishy tasting and rubbery to chew
