i noticed when you set the hook, instead of just setting the hook and reeling it in, you seem to try and set the hook 2-3 times giving loose to your bait and giving that split second for the fish to spit the bait out his mouth. love your vids and love your fishing skills. but only one good hook set is needed lolll

Probably saved yourself some (more) heartache when you lost that jig. You shouldn't ever miss that many hooksets on a jig type lure. Most likely the hook wasn't very sharp. Obviously the fished like to eat it though.

Well you would probably catch them if you didn't yank so hard you ripped their lips off not being cocky but you honestly might be setting the hook on the edge of their mouth and yanking so hard you ripped the skin

is your 280 lews reel already jacked up? I can't help but to notice and ask about that annoying squealing sound on the cast. I know that's not normal, or is there a reason for the noise?
