Great footage of the intense, controlled chaos of the fight in this video. Liked it. Nice work on that light tackle! Impressive with 15 lb braid. Good rod and reel setup. You really have to REEL when your chasing the fish huh? Did the fish chafe through the leader? With light tackle and a long fight that's bound to happen some times. Would a 40 or 50 lb leader be too much?

I caught a big sail on a blue runner and he battled long and hard I wondered why he was so tenacious. Then I saw my other line going sideways and as 15 ft tiger shark materialized right next to my 14 ft boat when I said holy bleep the tiger dropped the runner and shot away like a torpedo. then the sail came in with ease!

Nice catch! Never seen baitfish undies in my life but they look good! Pretty cool stuff lol. Freaking awesome for light tackle. It's always more fun on light tackle till you are getting spooled lol I love to catch kingfish on #12 line with #30 leader and 7' rod. It's always a thrill.

Dont you just love sails! Im sure you know this but when the boat is nearly stationary and you have to wind like mad to keep in contact, stick the tip in the water, then you wont get a tip wrap. Essential with light rods and fly rods. Great clip though.

Nice catch Darcie! We don't have fish like that up in Michigan but I did catch one down in Mexico last year and it was a blast! I ordered a 2016 calendar last week, when can I expect it?
