It is super frustrating when they get wrapped in snagged line couldnt do anything about that just sucks but one thing i noticed is is when he got close to the pull you started to freak out a little bit which is understandable but what you have to do is stay calm and open the bail especially with tarpon its either hooked good or its not there's no in between with tarpon its either going to get off on the first couple jumps or it will be hooked well in the top lip but when they get too close to structure just open the bail and let them go because they will get confused and think that they broke you off and normally they will swim away into open water then once your settled start the fight again opening the bail won't lose the fish like some may think but i just seen it too many times where a person will be bridge fishing and will try to turn a 40 snook away from a piling and it just doesn't work they're too powerful they will go where they want to go you can't stop it early in the fight just stay calm open the bail and let her go and play catch up and most of the time that fish will be landed

Enjoy your content, but it seems like you bag on the googans. They have rod lines, bait company, hunting and ice fishing lines, coffee company, a knife company, tons of followers and views, and travel all over the world fishing. It just seems more with you guys personalities that you would celebrate the success of other YouTubers, not seem like you are bagging on them. Prayers for you guys, I am a cancer survivor and was a caregiver for my grandfather before he died. It is not easy, but you brighten my day with your smile and strength, even though you are going through it. Bless you guys.

Is it illegal to use a gaff on tarpon?
When I was younger, my friends and I carried a 3' gaff. For large fish, we would gaff hook them in the chin to make them easier to land, unhook our lures, and then release the fish alive and well.
Seems much easier than trying to grapple the fish with your hands by leaning over the boat.

I retire soon and hope to move back and do some fishing. I NEED one of those Landshark visors. where can I find one? Thanks in advance and keep up on the great videos.

Damn those are long-winded fish! I'd love to get a tarpon on the line one of these days. Can't wait to go to Florida in March. stuck up here in the polar vortex for now looking at a high temp of 10 below zero next week. Yeah, a high of -10. that's real temp not wind chill.

Have never been to Florida. I have NO inclination to waste money at those parks. But I would love to go fishing and trap some crab etc. to bring home.
