CAST NETTING BIG WILD SHRIMP -- Catch, Clean & Cook BLUEGABE style --! Gas: I love caught shrimp once and it wasn-t planned. Me and a friend were camping and fishing on a National seashore Island in NC where there-s no bait shops. Well we were there for a week and 2 days in the fish were biting so good we were already almost out of bait. Well the tide had come in very far that night and there was a pool of water on the beach that the dog was running and playing in. I got to watching him and noticed that a ton of shrimp would jump out of water when the dog ran in. So we grabbed out nets and it was full nets every time. Idk how much was in that little pool of water but we easily had 10 lbs caught maybe more. We ate shrimp the rest of the week and had so much left over that I took some home to use as catfish bait

Sauteed in olive oil? While I'm sure it all came out tasting good, try sauteing in a high smoke point neutral oil like canola or grape seed oil. Olive oil, having a low smoke point, can scorch and get a sooty off taste in your food. Higher smoke point oils don't do that, and you will get a better sear/maillard reaction

This kind of shrimps I make a caribbean curry of. Add 1 banana, some chunks of pineapple, a gush of coconut cream, curry madras and some sweet soy sauce (ketjap manis) and some chili flakes (if you like), some garlic and squashed ginger. I eat this with basmati rice.

Don't take the shells off. cook them with the shells and eat the shells. great flavor. I never shell shrimp. Also fry them with hot oil and salt with the shells on until crispy. Eat shells and all.

Screw it, I'm just going to move to Florida. I'll get used to the humidity eventually, and all I ever hear about Florida is how good the fishing is.

Oh to count the times I-ve been told they don-t eat Zara Spooks then landed a nice Red or Snook or Bass or whatever the target species was

I throw just like you except instead of hold net in mouth I just lay it over my shoulder. What size nets do yall prefer?
