HAND CATCHING -OCTOPUS- in MEXICO Catch Clean and Cook BlueGabe Style - Bluegabe
video description
Don't take my word for it, try it yourself next cold front. Go out on a few days that push the limits of your suit's thickness. One day, lube yourself up with flowery hair conditioner. Next day, be a man and yank it yourself (the wetsuit. It's not even close, 3 extra minutes of putting on a suit is not as bad as a whole day of slimy freezing flowery smelling COLD misery.

In Hawaii we call octopus tako(japanese) or he'e (Hawaiian) it's much more effective to hold the head and shake it rapidly causes the tako to be disoriented and confused and it's better to (tickle it out) wiggle a 3prong spear or stick in the hole to bother the tako eventually it'll get upset and try to grab the stick at this point you grab on to his tentacles pull him out, grab the head and shake then bite between the eyes

I cook octopus a lot. I will simmer it for at least an hour. they are always different. So, just check them now and then. After they are tender, then I will char them on the grill for a char taste, and they get a little crispy. I wish I could attach a photo, I did some last week. Awesome video! regardless if they were not tender, the flavor had to be amazing, being right out of the water.

You are doing right but missed the last step of the sequence.
After the bbq, chop them into 1 inches cubes and slow cook them in coconut cream, with -, spring onions, tomato - Little, garlic -, season as you like for 40 minutes to an hour. And have it with sweet potato or kumara.
You'll never have enough of it Gade, l tell you!

-HeY! Octopus is getting outt of that little hole! - An octopus can get through any little hole so long as it; s bigger than their beak, which is the only hard part of it's body. You'd love seeing -My Octopus Teacher-, on Netflix. I think you overcooked them. They only want to simmer about 5 minutes.

Idk man, I-ve learned too much about octopus and their intelligence to be able to kill and eat one. I think it would be the equivalent to eating an ape. Solid vid tho, I like calamari but I can-t eat octopus/cuttlefish. Too much respect for their intellect. Cheers

With octopus, just put it in a pot of water and bring it to a gentle boil. let it simmer uncovered for at least 45 min, or until tender. You can check tenderness by using a knife or toothpick to pierce it. The skin should wipe off easily when it's done.
