Snipe are a blast (no pun intended) to hunt! Though, I usually hunt them after the early flight of ducks and before the afternoon flight. or after I shoot a limit if I'm lucky.
Before I shot a few, figured they would not taste very good. I was sooo wrong.
Edit: Very glad to see habitat restoration! We are so good at destroying habitat, it makes me happy to see us fixing what we F'd up.

Hi. In the UK the snipe is a revered game bird and tradition you eat the bird and all its entrails as a complete bird. Sounds gross but is ok. Have done it many times. Great bird to shoot but numbers have declined significantly. Great videos and the love the fishing with Kelly. Keep the videos coming.

My father was once out rough shooting in the UK with a few of his friends in a small wetland area. Two snipe suddenly got up. He got both with a perfect left and right shot with a double barrel side by side 12 bore (gauge) shot gun. They fly fast and zig zag so he was pretty proud of himself.

Where I grew up in CO we had a warm water slough that never froze and these things were there by the thousands. Used to hunt them often. Great game bird and very good on the table. Too bad more people don't try them. Better than doves on the plate and harder to hit than flushing quail.

Looks like a lot of fun. Every video I-ve seen u catch cook n eat something my mouth starts watering n I start getting hungry lol. Also it jus seems like there-s an endless variety of hunting n fishing n catching to do there. Makin this Alaskan want to take a trip haha

-No, we don't hunt soley for food. We can go to the grocery store for that. We hunt because we love to. The food is just a bonus. - Very well said! Probably the best, most direct and honest response to the question (-Why hunt? -) I've heard in my 60 years.

Fastest game bird goes to the sandgrouse! at a whapping 90km/hour (56 mph) a snipe doesn't come close.
i have hunted both over the years an i have to say the sandgrouse is a true torpedoes and are incredibly hard to hit.

after i watched this I booked a trip with clay gully. Me and my dad went yesterday and it was alot of fun. we will 100% be hunting with them again. Thanks for another great video.
