We're having the same problem with trash & plastic on the Missouri River, here in the US midwest.
During river clean-ups in 2016 alone, Missouri River Relief found 11 refrigerators, 4 TVs, 2 chest freezers, 443 -
tires, 34 55-gallon plastic barrels, 49 large Styrofoam blocks, 39 5-gallon buckets, 22 coolers, and 15 chairs. -
Missouri River Relief also filled 956 bags full of trash.
In 2017, nearly 150 people gave up some of their weekend to help Missouri River Relief and collected 23, 000 pounds of trash. That-s more than11 tons. The four miles river clean up included 28 cubic yards of Styrofoam chunks and 36 tires.

I had a grade school teacher back in the early seventies saying ( warning ) that plastic and trash was going to kill this planet. she was right. I have always warned people and did what I could to save this planet. I spoke to a man who was with the Corp. of Engineers as he was inspecting my grandfather's pond. He said a body of water like a pond or even an ocean can limp along for a short time. But at a point it will go critical and die and there is no saving it. Life is a chain and when the plants and small life dies it RAPIDLY KILLS EVERYTHING in a short amount of time. Grandkids? We may see this collapse. God forgive us.

That-s awful - unfortunately the ones doing this probably aren-t watching your families vids. My second vacay in Pensacola we were fishing on a dock and six locals came up and starting throwing their cups, cans and anything else in the water and laughing about it. Meanwhile the dock had a trash can five ft behind them. Because of the way my dad raised me I went ham on them to the point they wanted to fight but hopefully I made them feel like the garbage they were throwing in the water

A true Sportsman respects the environment that provides for us. Ya'll are amazing & I hope our children do better so they can enjoy what we've not yet ruined. My - as I look upon the negative changes that have permanently been altered by CURRENT & past society. Mother Nature is showing her fury; vids like yours will help more ppl realize WE, EVERYONE, MUST CHANGE OUR WAYS BEFORE - CAN'T SUSTAIN LIFE.

I am 100% with you. I pick up whatever trash I see when hunting or fishing, & have/are teaching my kids the same. That is horrible down there, its not as bad in Mid Missouri. As Outdoorsmen & Women we have an obligation to take care of the earth that takes care of us. Thank You Gabe for all of the great content and showing us all how we can be better. Everyone pitch in! many hands makes light work.

It's so sad to see the plastic. I see it when I'm diving to. How many people would feed their pets with food & plastic. It's double standard. Yet their happy to throw it in to the ocean & forget about it, for other animal to eat it. It's great to have people like yourselves that can say something. Man kind wouldn't survive without the ocean. CLEAN UP PEOPLE!

You can imagine the uproar if people went out to the woods to hunt and saw truckloads of plastic trash laying everywhere. Anyone who loves the outdoors would be appalled by what's in the ocean- you're right to highlight this. It's not political- anyone with eyes can see we are brutallizing our shared resource. The volume of human crap out there is unbelievable.

I am 47 years old and have been going to the keys fishing for over 40 years and the plastic in the weed lines is out of control. Keep up the awareness because we have only one south Florida fishery and when its gone we all lose big time. When I was a kid we would see leather back turtles all day long in the weed lines fishing for dolphin! Aaron from Indiana
