The WORST PAIN I-ve EVER FELT! --LIONFISH- CATCH CLEAN & COOK Chris: You aint lyin bro, worst pain Ive ever felt. I was catching lobsters here in Jup in 80ft, my 2nd tank dive ever. Didnt have a spear with me, just a tickle stick. Used the tickle stick to move the lionfish to get to a hole, and he flashed over and hit my arm with two of his spines. Green stuff oozing out of my arm which I later found out was just blood at depth, but I thought I was done for haha. If anyone tells you they arent aggressive, that is a downright LIE. I spent the next 8 hours writhing in pain, there was nothing like it. They say once youve been stung if you get stung again its not as bad. I dont plan on ever finding out, I'm killing EVERY lion I see from now on!

About 10 years ago I went on a wreck fishing trip. I caught a sea Robin. My buddy who had a drinking problem at the time was passed out drunk in the galley and I threw this huge sea Robin On top of his bare legs. He woke up pulled the sea Robin out of his leg, because one of the barbs was stuck in it and went back to sleep. About 15 minutes later he woke up screaming in phis screaming and pain and his leg had swollen to twice the size. We had to head back to the dock and cancel the rest of the fishing trip to bring him home. Best fishing trip I've ever been on.

a friends dad gut stuck in his hand by a lion fish in California while grabbing a lobster back in 1975. No one would believe it but this guys doctor and many friend were divers and he took them back to the area and caught a huge female plus a smaller male. The guy got three paralyzed fingers for years. California's waters average in the mid 60s to lower seventies in the spring and summer then run in the lower 50s to 60s in winter well within lion fish tolerance all though they do not like lower 50s temp they can live in it.

I caught an opossum on the way to the Astrodome in Houston with my band. Caught it in a friends yard while waiting for the school bus. I put it in a paper bag and when we stopped to pick up band members, I would say, Look what I brought for lunch! Then I would open the bag and the possum was frozen with a snarl on its face. Heard a few screams that morning! Lol. I did chicken out, though before we got to Houston. I was afraid it would pee on me, so on one of our stops, I threw it out.

I've never had Lion fish before. Your description of the pain Is intense, not fun at all. Sorry that you had to experience that.
I love the boys cakes and their decorating them in the end.
We take the tubs of icing and mix
1 - 2 blocks of cream cheese or Nuefchatel cheese with one tub of icing and it makes heavenly icing full of flavor and not too sweet.
Stay happy, healthy, hydrated and safe. And may God continue to bless you, your family and their adventures.

Hey y-all! New fan here! Loving all the videos. As an avid diver/spear fisherman, I feel your pain on getting hit by a lionfish. If found to alleviate the pain is to submerse your hand in the hottest water you can stand. It will neutralize the poison and stop the pain faster. I will say lionfish makes the best fish tacos or ceviche!
Love what y-all do! I watch DMFD as well and would love to meet y-all at some point. Don-t ever stop making these videos! Love y-all!

i know what u are talking about with pain being so bad that u wanna die. it crushes u even more if the doesnt goes away quickly and stays for days/weeks. but the positive thing about heavy pain is that it changes ones perspective on life. with poison/venum also it may made ya more immune to it and that could have added why your later stings werent as painful. much love to kelly and ya from germany

We have a species similar in Australia called a Happy Moment. Don't know how you could call it that because you don't find it a very happy moment if the spikes on it back stick into your body. Similar description of the pain as the Lion fish where it feels like a hot knife sticking into the location of the spikes and dragging it along from there.

Blue Gabe I love fish roe especially Red roe mullet. It's amazing how kids can eat something and not know what it is and say it's good until they find out what they ate that was funny. Keep doing what you doing and I look forward to hopefully meeting y'all one day at a meet and greet great video

I used to use those fins, but upgraded to a twin fin. I have way more power, control and maneuverability and MUCH less strain on my leg muscles which is great due to I was dealing with charleyhorses on every dive with my cressi's. but my cressi fins served me well for quite some time.
