We call that -Gata- here in Puerto Rico, is a black shrimp that is different. Salute to all our brother in Jamaica. The big long clawed ones, we call them -yunkeros- because the big ones are always close to the mountains, but are only found now high in the river mountains, because of constructions, you will almost not find the bigger ones.

PS. crawdads and crabs don't bite, they pinch. We have vicious blue crabs here in Maryland. They can whip around and get you like a snake.

Come to Australia, we have massive Yabbies (pretty well what you call crawfish) and Spiny Freshwater Crayfish the size of small dogs, MUCH larger than these lil things; )
