I live on the gulf coast of Tx. We have blue crabs that are good eating.
The shrimp industry in the gulf is huge. Love living close to the sea. Fresh seafood is at the ready.
Every late summer we go out for a few days & load up on Reds & Sea Trout.
Very good eating.
But our coast isnt rocky like yours, so we dont have that kind of diversity.
And lobster love colder water, so New England is top notch for lobster. but Florids does have spiney lobster mostly on the west coast.
Of course Alaska has snow crab & a few other species.
Thats my absolute fav.
Snow Crab in garlic butter.
We also have crawfish all along our southern coast & its a staple in the gulf states

Your videos always make me happy to watch, they are so good. I do not understand, that your viewer rate has gone down. But I noticed that the same has happened to a lot of the bushcraft video-s. Maybee it has something to do with corona, I do not know. Some of the cooking videos on the internet are doing better, maybee you could have more fokus on that element - you know your farther in laws cooking, you cooking at the beach with your family, spend more time on that element maybee that could do something. As soon as I can afford it, I will be a patrion. I share your videos of course; -) Take care. love from a Dane

Great video. The blue on those lobsters is stunning. If the water is that clear, you can't still be in the North East lol. Personally I prefer crab to lobster. The brown meat on some thick crusty bread is a great treat. I hardly indulge as I like to keep it special. Mind you, I know they're not for everyone, but whelks with vinegar and white pepper. I love them. Wrinkles are great too. I've made myself hungry now. Thanks for another entertaining video.

I-m not an expert but when we went crabbing as kids around the New York/New Jersey coastline in the U. S. we couldn-t take just the claws and you couldn-t take babies. I don-t know if the laws have changed all these years or other states are more lenient. Anyway. Love your videos! -

Stunning night time shots mr locker the colours outstanding and that slug was a treat. Topknots outstanding but that cat shark aggression and that snarling snapping face gave me the hebegebees. reckon it was guarding them crab claws that had gone missing - thanks for sharing.

It is amazing the colors to be seen on your exploration, it baffles the imagination. Another thing that blows me away is how you remember the names for all theses creatures you encounter. I just sit here and scratch my head, I don't know how you do it John. KUDOS! -

21: 53 Wow. Are all these animals somewhat exclusive to your region because of the circumstances with warm water from the Atlantic ocean etc? On the German Northsea shore, for example, I think it's more or less Edible crabs over and over and not so much else.

I really enjoyed your video. And those lobsters looked delicious to eat. My wife cringes when I eat it but have you ever tried the liver and the eggs in the body? It is great on a crackers and tastes like concentrated lobster!

Hello there, Fish Locker! Since I've been so busy with school lately, I haven't been able to watch your videos. I set aside time today to watch your videos because they help me relax and I am fascinated by marine life.

These videos got me motivated to go out crabbing for the first time in years. Only got one blue crab today, and he wasn't even a keeper, but I felt like a giddy child out there on the fishing pier.
