great video again, thanks, the problem we have around my area with wreck fishing which is teignmouth to brixham is that there is not enough wrecks for the amount of boats out there mainly because there are so many netters out there these days, over half of them are netted and as you already know you wont catch anything on a netted wreck so netted wrecks are avoided and some even have ghost nets on them, so sadly sharing a wreck can be unavoidable - which leads to the other problem anglers are having at the moment is aggresive commercials rod liners, even if you are on the wreck first and by yourself and then eventually a commercial rod liner boat comes over to the wreck that you are fishing on they like to bully you off the wreck these days, not a friendly bunch at all, some boats leave when they turn up, again there has been another collision over the weekend this is why i would be to afraid to anchor on a wreck because once the commercials come over they think that the wreck belongs to them, they come right up to your boat and their boat would be only 10 feet away from yours, all anglers are now advised to take photos or videos of the commercial boat to be sent to the coast guard to prosecute because it has got worse - probably of the increased amount of netters netting the wrecks here

You really have no idea how lucky you are, it could be a lot worse. Where I fish we have what we call 'The Power Squadron' - wakeboarders/water skiers. On a weekend there can be hundreds of them. I don't even bother going fishing on a weekend and even during the week I invariably have some idiot that thinks my boat is a fun slalom buoy to do circles around. They have ballast tanks they fill so that they make huge wakes. Not only that but only seeing a single boat fishing is a fantasy for me. We call what we do 'combat fishing'. Fun times.

Another fantastic video John, having lived down your way in the 90's whilst serving in the Royal Navy long before YT i noticed -poachers- would often follow you about, i would often put on my snorkeling gear and appear as a wreck diving duo so once they saw the masks and snorkels they would skip off. As an alternative take a couple of Royal marines with you and make them do press ups on the cuddy, the result is the same, poachers will take off thinking its extreme fishing or gay porn, the result is the same. empty water

Sadly. there seems to be quite a lot of five kilo brute anchors about at the moment, but there are a lot of novices about too. I had a similar situation last week. Fortunately he was an apologetic novice. Like yourself, I'm quite a big lad, so people usually take the hint. I'll be polite and friendly the first time. second time, it's a free swimming lesson. ;)

The other guy in the arvor obviously has too much money. He's got the toys to be one of the boys but has all the gear and no idea. I had a similar experience last night. I was fishing from a local beach and a group of swimmers decided to take a dip 10 yards from me, the poor souls only had a mile either side they could have went but no

I get the impression that John is a kind, tolerant, generous, friendly, well mannered chap, who will talk to and help anybody he meets. However I also feel like I wouldn't want to be that guy with no manners, knowing he was about to come 'have a word with me' later.
I bet John gives a right dressing down where it's needed --

Happens on Rivers and canals too. I had to resort to a catapult of maggots fired strategically at the wife of one idiot on a canal once who thought it was funny to come close enough to take anglers keep nets out with his boat. Funny how most women don't like maggots in their hair! ;)
Great video John. Keep up the great work.
