I filmed a video here exactly 1 year ago to this week and had a wonderful time. So I thought I would come back and have another look. Here is the link to the original video - wonderful on both days. This video fits in to my Coastal Exploring Playlist where I showcase sections of the wonderful coastline in SW Cornwall

This was filmed in my home village of Mullion, the harbour is Mullion Cove (or Porth Mellin)which is run by the national trust. His first bit of filming is up by Mullion Cove Hotel. He didn't say what was by the harbour as he looked out towards the Lizard, the Island is Mullion Island which is a protected bird breeding ground made of volcanic basalt, on the left on the headland is the Vro (snail looking thing) which has a little beach (sandy Vro) and a cave. There is then closer to the south wall of the harbour a beach that is only reached on a low tide via a cave in the cliff. (half way through it has green on the roof from a copper vein) at low tide there is a sandy beach in the harbour.
I imagine he has never checked with FAA as drone flying is banned on the lizard all year round due to HMS Culdrose and in between Mullion Cove and Kynance cove is Predanack Air Field used as a training area by Culdrose. You might be able to fly a drone but you must first get permission from the FAA. (I'm a qualified drone pilot.
I enjoyed the film as I have spent most of my life here, it is a lovely place to live.

I have been there too! A very long time ago. I took a boat over to Mount Saint Michael's. Then went on down to Land's End. I was so enthralled and could not wait to see my pictures when I got back. But alas, the only one I had was the one taken by the sign marking how far it was to my home. I had not taken a single picture! I had been so enjoying the scenery and talking to people and planning on my someday retirement to come back to live there and learn to paint every thing I saw. But, I haven't done it. YET! The whole of Cornwall is stunning. And the people were so nice. I had trouble understanding some of them, but they were good sports about repeating things. Oh, and there was some amazing ice cream!

John, found the marker bouy for my only diy pot floating at the harbour entrance today. Looks like the rope was cut with a knife. Unsure if it was half-inched or someone got tangled and slashed it. No trace of the other marker or the pot. Where did you buy your commercial pots from and what tips do you have for deterring a holes from messing with them? The spot I was in was very productive but too close to the harbour where the riff raff traffic is. I'll definitely be trying a new spot when I get another.

I have just returned from a week in Cornwall. I almost ripped my tyre wall out on a rock on a narrow section of road heading down to Porthcurno Cove. I had to do like you did and stay to the left as far as possible to get passed an oncoming car. My car must have jumped a foot in the air and luckily no damage other than a mark on my alloy and a bit of rubber on the side wall trim ripped off. That road is lethal and you can see rocks jutting out right at the edge in a number of places.

CHEERS TO YOU MY FRIEND ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE POND.
I haven't been on in a while.
It's funny that you mentioned the G7 Summit. I saw where Biden visited there in Cornwall.
PLEASE MY FRIEND. WE DO NOT CLAIM HIM AS ONE OF US. OR HER FOR THAT MATTER.
But anyways. enjoyed the video.
Take care. May you and your entire family stay safe and healthy.

Love these videos john, couldn't believe those sand eels, are you encountering more seals on your dives? I'm seeing more and more when I go fishing. I will be walking those cliffs in a short time with my wife and murf (my dog) all we intend to leave behind is our footprints and gather lots of memories. oh and hopefully a bass - thanks for sharing.

Ha-ha, so you got to see senile Joe Biden, what a joke for a president.
The Democratic party depends on voter fraud to win.
All countries in the world you have to be a citizen and have to have a government issued voter card to vote but in the U. S. it is racist and illegal; the fraud of the Democrat party.

Hoping to do some feather and lure lobbing there this summer and if it all becomes too hectic try float fishing with a wiggle lure. Pop into the spar in the village, best pasties I-ve had in Cornwall, home made parcels of yum.
