Following successful offshore sea trials this video shows the first inshore fishing trip on my new Warrior 170. Building on what I had learned from the Offshore sea Trials I planned a day fishing some inshore marks with various methods. Lure fishing, live baits, drift fishing and fishing at anchor. Bass, Pollack, Rays and anything else I could find. I had some wonderful fishing and had a great time on the new boat. As mentioned in the video, here is the link to my video on how to shoot and haul and anchor

Could you do a camera idea for me please? A cheap GoPro hooked up to a bait rig. Almost like a rubby dubby bag. Have a float holding the camera at the appropriate angle. Cast it out a small way and I'm hoping we will see all the small fish that come for it on the surface. You could even do a seabed version in a shallow bit of water. Seeing crabs and starfish coming for the camera would be cool if it works.

I dont fish in the sea but this is my favorite fisherman dude on the whole internet. He looks like some -uncle John- who you call for a help in school after getting bullied and the first thing he says to a bully is cunt. --- I love this guy. Greeting from Sweden & pike fisherman. Wish i could join you for a session on your new boat, i never fished from boat.

I am lucky in that I have a local fish market in Leeds which is very good. But I always thought that it would be handy if they had some way of letting you know how to cook some of theses fish as some of them you have never heard of. I can imagine that all fish are not just for steaming and so on.

Oh man. I'm full of camera rig ideas now! lol Rubby dubby bag on the surface to attract sharks. You have a helium balloon coming off that that is holding a gopro looking directly down at the rubby dubby bag. Shark footage from four feet above ensues.

Great video John and another tick in the box for a new boat species, boats performing well, did you need a new trailer for the boat? And did you part exchange the other one in? waiting on pulling the pots video? keep safe tight lines

Great video John - the new boat is looking good. Nice one on the Blondies too! I'm gonna have to open some tinned Mackerel for lunch - closest I can get to the pan sized one you brought in over the Gunwale! Stay safe & well! --

An excellent video as always, what a top guy you are John to put those 2 monsters back, kudos to you. I wish other anglers were like you, some take everything they catch no matter what the size is it is. Gareth from Swansea.

Well I-ve just watched the two day trials on your new boat, loving every minute. You never stop being helpful, explaining your methods and imparting your love and knowledge to us all. Ever grateful John, take it easy mate

John, at the beginning of the video (excellent by the way) you mentioned two types of live bait that you were hoping to catch, one was sand-eel the other was 'Laune' or something sounding similar? What was it?

With it being difficult to show a bite, could you rig a camera half way up the rod looking at the tip? I would imagine that would be at least worth trying. If it works that could be quite cool! Bite cam.
