Gallatin River Montana - The New Fly Fisher lifted: Funny story. Almost had a big brown take my fly today, but a tiny rainbow 3 inches tops stole it. I set the hook anticipating what looked like a 15 inch brown. I yanked that poor sucker straight from the river around my head and it smacked me in the cheek. The fish was fine and swam straight to the depths, however I was not ok! I was in stitches laughing so darn hard at what happened. Just wanted to share my story that happened today on the river. One of the craziest things that happened to me while fishing.
