nondescript water for browns? I have fished the grand from the shand dam to south of Onondaga. I have caught 20 and + inch browns in water the canoe was hitting bottom a lot. I have caught them in the stillest of waters and everything in between. There is no script when it comes to fishing anything in the Grand. The best day I had fishing browns was actually on irvine river between Salem and highway 6 about 6 yrs ago when I use to live in Fergus. To bad Ken was a bit of a cocky ass about 14 yrs ago when I first walked into NOT SO grandrivertroutfitters. I took my business ( a small family of 8 lol) extended family of about 30 and god only knows how many others I have gotten into fly fishing elsewhere. Oddly enough the customer service is top notch. When my 14 yr old daughter goes in there just to buy new line or a few flies they treat her like shes about to drop $1500-2000 bucks.
Kind of a shame Ken when you judge someone (which I am sure you did) based on their dirty appearance popping in after work. If you only knew how much $$$ there is to be made in sand blasting, and how much money you lost because you did lol. But its all good. Your business I am sure is growing slowly. Maybe someday when I am bored I'll start one in the CUSTOMER SERVICE fishing business next door and see how long you survive. I have been in wellington county for near 17 yrs now. I know all the honey holes now. Not that you would share that without throwing money your way. Funny how a sport is all business when when when you live in Fergus/ Elora. The a-hole capital of southern Ontario. You'll meet a shit load of folks thats 1/2 a million in debt but act like the have 2 million in the bank lol. Oddest place I have ever lived and the most out to lunch people I have ever met.
