my small stream rods are a 2wt 6' moderate fast graphite and a 3wt 7' moderate glass both Maxcatch i live next to a tiny urban creek that holds Brook trout and brown but pollution must be taking its toll been here 2. 5 years and only caught 1 Brook trout but it was 10 plus maybe 11 inch my first wild brook trout i was useing a #12 single egg trout hook with a worm from my garden all i seem to be catching on my beadhead evil weevils and beadhead zugbugs are creek chubs i just got the fly rods and i love them loads of fun just need more trout and beadhead nymphs i prefer a 12 to 14 size but i have thrown a size 10braidtail damsel streamer on my 2weight just not very far 7. 5' leaders i got them but i like 5x and 6x leaders on my 2/3weights

Glad to be seeing more about this. Where I live all I have is small streams and super deep lakes. I got hooked after a guided trip on a river just to find out almost everything I learned that day doesn't work on my local streams so I've had to learn the hard way.
