There is damn near zero need for a traditional western fly rod out in wyoming on any small stream. A 11-13. 5 foot triple zoom tenkara rod is by far the best tool for any fishing on smaller streams. Why carry a reel with 250yards of backing, 91feet of main line, just to cast 13feet away? lol

I noticed a lot of down stream casting, then stripping up stream which presents the fly in an unnatural way. You caught a lot of fish that way. How did you make that work.

remember boys and girls. when it's hot. the trout are too. Don't keep them out of the water for long. I've seen a lot of Texans killing trout here in the mountains.
