If they dont completely strip our freedoms in the next year I can see ice fishing becoming the next massive trend to hit. What else is there to do in a country of fear filled sheep? Lol Im all ready to go, fished a ton this year and only had 1 hit my tip up. I have no electronics, I went broke buying the rest of the gear. the question came to mind, shelter or sonar? Since I hate the cold more than Satan himself, it was easy to guess what I chose. Lol so now the hard work begins with trying to locate fish a more conventional way. Im failing at it. Lol but my local lakes are pretty fished out. To catch anything half way decent requires northern Saskatchewan travel. I still dont have enough gear to camp out on the ice over night, but well see what happens.
Im just glad I found you and some of the others youve mentioned. its helped me out a ton this past summer when I hammered giant pike at Tobin lake in late summer. Im ice fishing this year for the first time. so far its great, just need to put fish on top of the ice, instead of just hearing them laugh from underneath!

Way to go Jay! I own all the gear and been at it for a long time but I watched it because I respect you as an angler and I really like your enthusiasm. I really appreciated the comment at the end regarding taking a rookie out fishing. Growing the sport is much more than giving away all your spots to future IG stars, teaching good safety habits and good fish handling is so important, too many people get out both on the ice and open water with little respect to the elements. Great series and great content! Tight lines!

Id love to see a breakdown of all the main fish like panfish, perch, trouts, pike, walleye, etc. to see their patterns and just to know some of the knowledge you have on all these species so I can search my own lake for them!

Great series, Thanks sir. I totally agree with you if everyone just took 1 new person out a year. I love me some icefishing even though I don't get to as much as I'd like too.
