THE BEST BASS FISHING LURE? - Spinnerbait vs Chatterbait

So which is better for catching bass? The chatterbait or the spinnerbait? In this video I compare the two lures and tell you which one works best for the given conditions. By the time you are finished watching this video you should be able to decide which lure is best for you given the conditions you are facing out on the lake. Both of these lures are BIG bass catching MACHINES Personally I prefer the chatterbait, but the spinnerbait can catch some HOGS too It ultimately comes down to personal preference and confidence. Next time you are out on the water is search of some chunky largemouth bass, pick up a chatterbait or spinnerbait and hang on

I love and agree with a lot of your videos, but I feel that this is not the best you have put out. I know that you made it very clear that people use both baits in the opposite ways from you and IMO, most people do. In clear water, you would never really see me throw a spinnerbait, because of the big wire and chatterbaits have more of a slimmer, natural look (except for the vibrating piece on the top lol) that i feel that bass would prefer more. To me spinnerbaits are tough to bet in the dirty water for sure with the big flash that you wouldnt get from the chatterbait. This is coming from someone whos caught bass equally on both baits and not bias towards one or the other. In this video, I feel that you are definitely bias towards chatterbaits and theres nothing wrong with that except I feel that you can really misguide people from choosing which one to choose. I think the better thing to do was to fish the spinnerbait more, besides catching a couple of fish on it and then making a comparison video between the two. I applaud that you recommend the viewers to experiment and figure out what is best for them for sure and in the end thats what counts. My main point is that you make sure to unbias for the viewers to get the most out of your videos. Thanks for reading this rant lmao

I can give many reasons not to throw a spinnerbait with a trailer because it can get snagged more often I fish lake Kissimmee I never miss any fish on spinnerbaits but chatter baits are worse when you bring them through grass because they have an exposed hook spinnerbaits have that wire that act as a weed guard

I've been doing local pond fishing lately for bass. Ive used the skirted jig, the square bill crankbait, spinnerbaits, and plastic worms and so far Ive landed the most bass with the crank baits. Im gonna go pick up a couple chatterbaits tomorrow because of this video. Thanks man, keep up the good vids.

What tackle boxes are those? I also saw them from your Bass Boat Tour 2015 video. I like the size, (width/length) and how deep they are. You seem to have lots of lures in them. Early on, I can see it says Plano on the top of one, but they have a bajillion different models. Can you be specific?

From nebraska to and fished spinnerbaits since i was young, best time to throw spinnerbaits here is may. Started throwing chatterbaits a few years ago didn't like them much but now i like them for warm days in march in my area, but i still prefer a square bill over them both.

Great info Pretty new to chatter baits and bait casting all together since I live in mainly a spinning reel environment in coastal Mississippi but just wondering what lb. test it diameter line you use and is it mono, copolymer, braid, or fluoro on your baitcaster?

Northern pike up here where I live keep absolutely destroying my spinnerbaits: ( yesterday I honestly paid 13 dollars for a new spinnerbaits, and on my first cast a pike swiped at it and when I got it to the boat, he shook his head and destroyed the lure

Mr. Flair first thank you the very informative video it really helped 'clear the water' lol secondly, seeing that I've very used a chatter bait in the past and was always a spinner bait diehard. but now I'm open to learning a new bait. thanks again.

thank you so much for your videos Andrew I just had a quick question: I live in SC and it's in the low 40s and sunny. I am going fishing at an 800-acre lake with a rocky bottom. what lure should I throw for bass? I would really appreciate it

Chatterbaits are one of my favorite lures to fish around grass. I've never had confidence in spinnerbaits, and for some reason, I have a lot more spinnerbaits than chatterbaits and I hardly ever fish them. Good video by the way.
