I built a DIY automatic chicken feeder and waterer for my chicken coop on the farm I Andrew Wilks: well, for meat, Cornish cross but if you want eggs, Rhode Island Reds. Theses are just what i would suggest. If you want a duel purpose, I think Australorp would be a good breed. Jersey giants get big but they need tons of food, time and space to do so. look around and google different breeds to see how they handle different tempuratures, how quickly they mature, the size and amount of eggs if you want eggs, and the weight of the bird if you want meat.

I have Rhode Island Reds and they are great egg layers but if you really want chickens that are more freindly and have a good personality then get Buff Orpingtons or Wyandotte's because they are also very dependable egg layers ass well as being very hardy and having beautiful feathers.

You might want to think about where you put the chicken tractor because I have them and chickens stink very bad and you have to remember that they poop and they will put squares of poop every from where the chicken tractor is. So I would take it away from the camper and stuff

yo Flair this is a bit off topic but the next time you do a catch and cook you should add melted butter into the hot sauce and then mix the eggs and flour you can really taste the difference

I have have 12 chickens, buff orpington and black australorp. 6 of each, and get 10-12 eggs every day. I also have 10 ducks and 2 white chinese geese. I raise them all for eggs.

Hell flair my name is Timothy Johnson if you thinking about ducks you should get some muscovy ducks. They are a beautiful duck that are born to lay any type of bird egg
