STOCKING My POND with Fish Caught in MINNOW TRAPS fishinguy75: U don't have to film it. but in my 41 yrs of lip-rippn, bass up to 13-14 size will slay the small shad like a big ol spoonfull of fresh, home-made steaming warm pudding. why? To them they taste like dessert does to us but during the next yr or 2. especially up here in Midwest, lakes with shad seem to have more muddied water, rip the weeds to pieces so lake is less pleasing to eye. and honestly a bass's taste buds like ours change and become for sophisticated. Now instead of being content with a 5 yr old slightly freezerburned mostly melted ice cream sandwich, they moved to handchurned homemade ice cream with actual vanilla paste straight from the beans. Paired with a still slightly warm Caramel Crunch Dutch Apple pie. that being a small sized Bluegill. They are big and experienced enough to avoid the children ng hazards of youth. like forks and caramelized yummy pieces of crust.
