Never trust the word sterile as it is not true. The reason why they use the word sterile is because the fish breeding chance is very low hence why they are considered sterile. I just recently got mobbed by a huge load of non-biting steriled mosquitoes because the state government decided to release them behind my house to mate with the virus carry mosquitoes. But low and behold, they mate with each other and with the virus carry mosquitoes. My neighbor and the area around my house is hoard with mosquitoes laying and flying near the wall of my house. Just by opening the door for less than 5 second, the house already have 10 mosquitoes and they bite you like hell. Non-biting my ass. Sterile my ass, they bred like crazy in my pond and I had been forced to put minnow and mosquitoes fish in my pond.

Crappe they help the bass grow and they always bit they also help with your bluegill Because they eat some of the minows so your pond wont be over populated for your bass fishing because if there is tomany bluegills all they eat is bluegill trust me there hard to catch after that because all they do is eat bluegill

we personally have a pond and we stock it with 100 pounds of fatheads every spring and the fish seem to love it. we also found that perch are good. once you get to the point that you have to many bluegills and other fish they seem to eat a lot of the little ones to keep the population down

Sounds cheesy but coming from aquariums, I believe your issue is an oxygen drop at night, and one way to avoid that is an air pump or a water fountain, both of these will increase the surface area of the water and help with the gas exchange and get more oxygen into your water

My uncle worked in California and Florida as a fish biologist he did research in large mouth bass and flathead cats mostly and sed in 40 years of research he found that rainbow trout become the favored food source once they get to 5 and up might want to try adding them

Have you ever done a video testing out old school lures? I was at an antique shop up in Duluth and saw some of the craziest looking poppers and wooden crankbaits. Or maybe do a diy lure challenge with the boys? Carve a popper or something?
