You should probably add a filter to the pool. Even if the water test comes out good there are still other things that don't show up on the test. That fresh water you're pumping into the pool is clean so it doesn't have any of the good bacteria that the fish need to survive. I would take some water from your bass pond and put it in the pool since that water is all cycled through and has all the bacteria they need then add a filter to keep that cycle going. Might help the bait fish survive longer

Notes like these will help you notice trends so you know in the future what time of year and in what temperatures your fish grow best. If you have any questions about fish culture, let me know. I have a degree in Fisheries Technology, and am heading back to school for my veterinary medicine degree. Worked for DFW for several years, and also managed my own private hatchery for a bit.

If you put guppies in your feeder pond they will infest it and you would be able to feed your chickens and bass they breed like crazy very fast reproductive rate would just have to put some cover in there so the fry can hide

Flair a racoon will actually get in that pool and get fish they can swim like a fish my friend. Also owls and hawks will get the minnows it might be better to put a net over the pool.

Flair I have the same blue stock tank and I use it for a pool you should come to my house and spend a night in my cabin and go hunting or fishing I live in Minnesota
