Building an OFF-GRID CABIN in My BACKYARD! (Part 5) David: I'm with Banjo on this sleep on the floor, sleeping in a loft with a wood fire heated cabin is torture even with a ceiling fan blowing down from the open area across from the loft.

I would get 1 inch plywood for the loft then you don t have to worry if you ever put beds up there of more weight it will cost a lot but in the long run could be better
reply

A fella should plant himself a food plot on the hill outside the loft window for the critters, so you can wake up and never have to leave your bed to see the wildlife

If you really don't want to put the tounge and groove boards on the top of the loft floor then just cut them to length and put them on the bottom of it
reply

I wowould imagine you are already done with the cabin by the time you read this, but why not just put the t&g over the plywood in the loft? Lol.
reply

That 1/2-inch plywood will work if you put more floor joists in at 12-inch on center. That would also be cheaper than buying 3/4-inch plywood.

Run over to palmyra and get you some fenceline feeders then you can dump grain from the outside and everyone has a place to eat.

Building a posh cabin to shoot deer from might be the most city boy thing in the world which is something i would LOVE
