Heybrother I just wanted to give you a little little advice since you giving me so much fishing advice over the years about bass but coming from a muddy water Texas fisherman from South West of Houston, when catching them gar use a float that suspends the bait half a foot or so from the top of the water. I know it sounds weird but that's what I have found consistently catches more gar. The trick is when you're letting the gar run with your bait with the float attached and consistently trying to pull the bait out of its mouth it makes it hold on tighter and eat it faster. And then rip that hook into its face. also you don't always need such big hooks just sharp ones it's easier for em to swallow the bait. Just a little neighborly tip from one Texas boy to another. Oh and ps blacktop just dropped a few points in my book no respect for Texas! haha

LFG go fly fishing with that bamboo stick. Also make an entire video where you just run around and find neat shit in the woods. My favorite part of this video was when Donald Trump Jr caught that alligator gar. And in case you're wondering, Ive never eaten alligator gar, but long nosed gar is one of my favorite eating fish. If you've ever had alligator, longnose gar is like alligator-flavored fish. Super good for the deep fry bubble bubble

I hope I don't offend anyone, but in Australia we have fishermen. I don't understand the concept of bass fishermen. Why do bass fishermen only fish for bass? Is it due to proximity to salt water or something? I don't mean to have a go at any bass fishermen, fish whatever you want; I just don't understand from an Australian perspective

Actually, at 12: 00 minutes, most dinosaurs probably had feathers of some form and/or bare skin; scales were only really present on the feet and tail of theropods, and raptors would have been covered similarly to hawks. A better analogy would be lizard scales, as they're overlapping plates. :)

Gar are absolutely a game fish. Very nice amount of fight from them. Also taste very good. You know how it goes always make the good stuff harder to get into.

You want to rig a jig with nylon rope. You untwist the rope so it looks kinda like a bucktail jig. This gets tangled on their teeth. then you haul.
