My grandpa was probably the best ice fisherman in our area of Ohio. He would go out on big lakes early and hammer yellow perch. We had killer fish fries all winter long. Really got excited when he got into the walleye. His home phone would ring all day with people asking where to go.

Definitely hit the ice again. Us Northerners know how to fish open water too. Our bass may not be as big, but jump onto a 40 pike and it'll take you for a ride. A great day on the ice is hard to beat. I can't wait for ice over. But then, I typically catch more than two little perch.

LFG this was o funny, did Jon not tell you two to prepare for the north or did you just say screw it? Oh and no running on ice without spikes, you have those right? Hope your head is ok. I have bit the dust on the parking lot ice pond before and it hurts bad!

You and Lunkers come up to Minnesota in January and i will put you on all kinds of fish for ice fishing, and spearing Northerns. The holes will be like your looking into a fish tank watching the fish swim by. Inside a fish house. Can't beat it.

Totally do this again! Hilarious haha. But get spikes for your BOOTS and 2 or 3 pairs of gloves haha. A lot of us crazy Canadians sleep in shacks and huts in -30 Celsius fishing through the night.
