I was fishing a winter tournament with my Dad, he reeled his lipless crankbait in and it had grass on the treble hooks, instead of taking the grass off by hand, he started smacking the bait in the water right beside me, the extra line he had out allowed the bait to extend enough to lightly graze my leg. the hook went through a pair of jeans and sweatpants. I had to material to expose where the hook went in my leg, and I had to press the hook the exact same way you Dad did.

i have a friend who has hooked his little brother so many times (mostly in the head/face area) that his brother wont fish with him any more. I myself have had a 8/0 shark hook go in through my palmand come out the top in the meat between my thumb and pointer finger. my dad tripped over the leader. we were in Spencer Canyon and all we had was a hacksaw. i was 12

Had a pickerel jump and send a hook behind my knee cap through a pair of jeans, while the fish was still attached flailing around sending it deeper. Luckily the fish unhooked itself. Had to walk over a mile back to the car, with the jeans pulling on it the whole time. My car was a 5 speed. Good times.

I'v hooked myself twice, I just took a pliers and yanked it out( In the beginning there he was pulling in the wrong direction, he was pulling against the middle of the hook, instead in grabbing the hook just below the barb and kind of twisting it out, makes a very small wound to deal with.

While on Texoma with my 10yr old daughter we got in a school of stripers. I had big slabs on my baitcasts and i would set one down and through for her and then cast mine. I sat it down begind me and caught it as i cast the other. It came over my head and set the treble in my chin.

I have done the Exact Thing: ; except I had on a brand new pair of Levis!
Knelt down on a Smith-wick Rogue; got it out the same way.
It is extremely hard to force even a very sharp hook through knee skin, very rubbery!
Hurt like He%!

I hooked myself twice in one day, once In my right hand and once in my left fore arm, been fishing for 25 years and thats the only two times Ive hooked myself, just grabbed pliers and ripped them

I stepped on a Walley erie Derie at lake erie and it went into the heal of my foot about 1/2 inch deep, I was 14. My father had his 2 friends hold me down and my dad used pliers and pulled it out. RIPPING my heal open.

I wish I could post the picture on here. I hooked myself THROUGH MY FINGERNAIL and out the pad of my finger. it suuuucked. Bit my wallet, shoved it through, cut the barb and kept it moving!

OMG. LFD is a BOSS! My dad did this and there was a trip to the ER and a near drowning involved in that whole darn nightmare. Why that was so funny I have no idea, LOL.
