You guys should make a survival fishing rod possibly micro survival rod with a spot to put a few hooks line and possibly a fire starter on the rod it self like on the handle or something would be sweet and possibly a compass like you find on some buck knifes, that way if you ever had to use your pole to survive you could use it for more than just fishing! Hope you guys like the idea and build on it!

Amazing carp fishing have you tried using bait like sweet corn or cooked maize. Fish with the bait on the bottom with a lead to get the hookbait down and hold the bottom. Use a wide gap hook and look up the tieing the knotless knot and putting two or three corn on the hair of the hook. Sit back and hold on lol

For carp, I love a fly called the backstabbler. It's a small crawfish imitation where the hook sticks up out of the back. Works great! I really enjoy carp on the fly since they fight so hard. They are a blast!
Awesome video too. Really love the stuff you put out. Tight lines LFG and LFD!

My experience in fishing for carp was always fun. Baby treble baited with a mixture of dry dog food moistened with water & a pkg. of Kool-aid. I always let them take for just a second and then lift the line straight up, then reel. Pressure cooked for canning and it taste just like salmon.

Up here in Michigan the carp are such a problem that they hold tournaments to get rid of them.
The guys up here have special boats set up for carp fishing. They have flood lights with generators on the boats. They also shoot a lot of carp using bow and arrows.

You needed something a little finer to catch a spark. You can stick the feral rod down in it for proper spark danglin. Or use a magnesium rod and collect shavings. Ill pull lint off my socks or shirt for some quick flash. Love your videos, FF for life.

Your jig may have been too big for cold water light biting buffalo. You need about a one-sixteenth ounce jig tipped with a soft plastic twister tail. I prefer white bodies when fishing rivers when the water is murky. They are consistent trout getters, too.

LFG you are a much better fisherman than I, but others have told me that when river fishing and struggling to get hook sets on fish downstream, try pulling the rod to the left or the right instead of always straight up.

Homemade dough bait (stinkless) and saltwater circle hooks, same drift method you were using. The dough is made from flour, cornmeal, molasses, and Strawberry preserves. Dough works on Trout and perch as well hehe
