Wild Caught Mountain Fish - Mulit Species Blind Taste Test Fluky: When you are fly fishing, try to keep your rod tip as close to the water as possible, you detect a strike very easily and you keep the best contact to your flies witch also gives the best trike indication. Keep your rod tip low its one of the best advice a man can give whiles fly fishing.

Ya know, I suspect Trout related species will taste different based where they grow and what they feed on. Like how Wine grape differences depends on the soil, elevation, rainfall, etc. MY favorite Trout has been the Brook Trout here in Vermont, can't get enough of that! So yummy.

LFG man youve gotta treat trout and Kokanee better than you treat bass. I guarantee a lot of those trout you threw didnt make it. Anyways. You should come to Oregon if you like Kokanee. We have lakes here with a 25 kokanee limit. You gotta try smoking them too

Brine the kokanee with salt pepper honey brown sugar and a smidge of cayanne pepper. Over night or a full day if you can wait. Then cold smoke them bad boys. And I bet your wife wont say trout are better than Kokanee ever again lol

Would you mind telling us which lake you fished? Not asking for your honey hole, just planning my own elk hunt for next year and if I can bring back some fresh trout and salmon that'll help fill the freezer for sure.

I would say yes to family camping but I have attempted with my wife and 3 kids and there not much enjoyable about it. but give it a shot! Maybe with just 1 kid wouldnt be bad!

Enjoyed the elk hunt series of videos, I've had lots of grilled and pan fried trout before, but WoW. what's the deal with those grits, now that's what I'm talking about!
reply

Them dang earwigs lol which is the bug you killed but love the video and I have to agree trout is the best and easiest fish to clean in my opinion

Please take better care of the trout that you catch, wet your hands and release them softly into the water. Also please dont litter!
