Thanks for the tip on Rapid River Knifeworks! Gorgeous knives and now I know what I want for MY birthday this summer too! I love this series! Great Lakes perch is my favorite fish! I grew up on perch golden crispies that my grandparents caught in Lake Huron every summer. Headed to Alpena tomorrow on Lake Huron and then Lake Superior next month!

When fighting larger fish on the fly rod, get the fish on the reel so you have the reel's drag working for you. Hold the line as steady as possible as you reel up the slack line off of the boat deck and then fight the fish as you normally would. Let go of the reel handle when the fish runs and allow the drag to maintain pressure on the fish.

I'm somewhat of a beginner at bass fishing, but I'm looking to get a baitcaster to replace my spinning reel. What would you guys recommend as a pretty cheap combo and also what type of line?

What is going on at 4: 30 with that noise in the background? Are they testing how sharp those knives are on an actual person? I thought it was laughter at first but not so sure about that.

I had a hunch LFG was into the knife game. Seen him with the Moras and the occasional Buck 119s. Cant go wrong with those right there. Its a quest to find that perfect knife.
