After loosing all of our backyard chickens to predators, I'm building a fully enclosed chicken run to keep out the bobcats, hawks and other predators that can get in from the top

My 4 chickens just got killed. The chickens had a 12'x24' chain link dog kennel with brick surround & a completely fenced in top that was adjacent to my spare garage. The coops were built off of the ground on top of 275gallon water totes / attached to the garage wall. I had a skunk chew a hole thru the garage wall & into the kennel where they magically got the 1st 2 chickens! After discovering the 2 dead chickens i locked up the other 2 even tighter & they were dead by morning. Weasels! They can get thru that chicken fencing easily. the skunks were cleaning up after the weasels killed the chickens for no reason. They didnt even eat anything off of them.

just make ur coop like demo ranch one. that one u can walk in. much better then a small little coop. and u can have a door where u dont have to enter ur fenced area. this man has friend that are vets and have large coops and experience. still has to think it up himself. not very smart.

your making this chicken pen WWAAAYYYYY more complicated than it needs to be! you need t put at least one brace in the middle of the panel's to help make the wire tighter and make an over all stronger panel!

there's no substitute for making a task as complicated as possible. Anyone else would consider having an excavator lift it and set the coop inside the fence. Less time, less wasted lumber.

Good to see you went with what I recommended for saws & axes. Boreal is pronounced Bore-re-all. Like the Canadian Boreal Forrest (Worlds Largest Land Biome.

Back that ole chain tensioner off a half a turn or two. chain tension alone shouldnt slow the chain down that fast. Love these home project vlogs. Keep it up!

lookin good. Be ready to have to clean tree debri from the panels panels occasionally. A good air compressor and blow nozzle will handle most of it
