Back in Texas and whitetail hunting during opening weekend or archery season. We are setting up a bow hunting blind on the ground and luckily getting to look at lots of whitetail bucks on opening day! This is a new deer lease and I'm taking notes of all the deer are what to cull for the first time. Mullet Man Youtube Channel Bow I'm Using is Bowtech Revolt

Addressing the Elk I have hunted all my life and yes its sad to see that animal not tracked all the way out cause maybe its down maybe not. But big snowstorm barreling in on you up in the mountains, yeah hell no. That would have covered all sign and really could have hurt everyone on that mountain. The boys he was with are obviously experienced and elk hunters, and they even called it off. Lay off Rackley some shots arent perfect, every long term hunter knows that.

I just feel that when you hunt over bait, hunt on a property that basically holds these massive deer and there so easy to kill it takes away the fun of actually patterning the deer in the wild. I know ya there wild animals still but there coming into the feeders. You not actually hunting, your practically just waiting for your deer. I just feel like it takes all of the old fashioned hunting skills out of it.

Anytime I see anyone hunting corn feeders on managed land it feels more to me that it should be labeled harvesting. No issue with taking a rifle. You are going for the meat (not just horn hunting) so no harm in that at all. Take an ethical shot and fill the freezer!

Saturday was opening day for whitetail also here in east Texas I saw a few does but let em all walk last year I killed a score 135 10 point on public land at the beginning of November with a gun so I just picked up bow hunting want a good challenge

That elk did not survive. Ive been bow hunting for 22 years. Your garbage. Dont have the time to wait and track then dont take the shot. Tell yourself what you want. The amount of lung blood on the ground? No way anything can survive that.

I'll be hunting opening weekend of rifle season near a rock quarry myself. The guy I'm going with had quadruple bypass surgery and I promised to go with him to an easy walking place near his kids house. So there we go.

If those trucks are always driving by them deer arent even faised by it. they get used to farm vehicles and other equipment that doesn't pose a threat. i would have stayed in the blind to sun down and seen what came through.

Man I dont think that 7 is mature. I think he is maybe a 4 yr old. Probably more 3. 5. But I would call him a cull also either way. Yall got to get those pigs out of there. 100% will run the deer off every time

That elk is 100% dead with the liters of blood you had coming out. Should have tracked it longer. Sometimes you gotta go miles. That being said. It happens and sometimes you lose and animal and it's never fun!
