Yeah Brother! I love the journey you have chosen. I have watched you for years and this one was very special to me. You accomplished the first step, what I could imagine 200 years ago. Be humble as always, you now need to drop the technology and go old school. Hone your skills and you will definitely have the respect of the tribe. Let the land decide what can be harvested and provide life in true nature as it once was.
I am not in this group I just want the bridge watchers to know.

I loved these videos waiting for you to take a deer with your own built bow but I don't get to hunt I have a rifle my grandfather gave me 10 to 12 years ago he is long gone if love to get a deer with his gun but just the same I would love to fish with you your such a humble guy if your ever looking for a challenge come to Wilkesboro north Carolina and please get ahold of me

I like you have picked up the trad life. I hope the bug has bitten you. The bug got me 15 years ago and I havent looked back. In fact, down the rabbit hole I went. Right down to the knapped stone points made by my hand. It filled a void I didnt know I was missing in my archery life.

You hit the femoral artery. not that you ever aim for it, but it runs right below the spine. They bleed out super quickly, but every deer I ve killed that way has been shot there accidentally and just lucky it s still a clean kill from a bad shot. Congrats on a hard earned kill! Great video

I love the video and everything so far, but buddy you didn't hit a lung at all. You hit the artery in its back by his spine and he bled to death. Don't be ashamed of it because many people who hunt with rifle, bow, crossbow, compound, have done the exact same thing.

GREAT video, I got the same rush as I get when I harvest a deer with a bow. I can t imagine the feeling you got with a homemade bow. Thanks for taking us along from start to finish. You over came so many problems, it would have been so easy to trash the plan.

i missed 2 deer this season. none down yet. on opening day i missed under a doe at 15 yds. i blame my excitement. last week i had a doe at 30 that i meeped at and stopped. she rolled belly to the dirt a foot under my arrow. i love the challenge of archery.

Thanks for sharing wish I had your talent and enthusiasm for the traditional bow hunting looks like a rush.
Had to go back and watch the shot in slow mo and to see if that noise when he hit the feeder was what I thought it was.

CONGRATULATIONS! The feelings you must've had at that time of finding that beautiful buck. you only have a handful of moments like that! Can't wait to see what's next. Arrow head making? Then take one out with that! Will make a great European mount!

Good job and congratulations. If your shooting that arrow thru the replaceable screen, that's your accuracy problem. The slower the arrow passes thru that material the more influence it has the the flight path of the arrow.

last year i got a doe in the spine and her back legs didnt work anymore. i had to dispatch her with my K-bar belt knife. i made sure it was fast. there was no way i could sit and watch her suffer like that.

Amazing video, I'm not going to lie I was surprised that deer died so fast! The way the arrow entered I figured you were in for a long tracking scenario.
