Want to know what rigs you need to land a giant Pier Snook? Then watch the video as we go over the tackle and rigging needed to land a monster. Bob: That seems overkill to me the reason is using a heavy conventional reel on the surf with 30lb mono and 80lb mono leader I have landed several Blacktip sharks in the 60 t0 110 lb range of course there is no structure to worry about when fishing for Snook and Jacks I use 16lb mono with 20 - 30lb test and have landed a few Jacks in the 25 to 30lb class and can cast a good distance using a multiplier baitcaster Seigler or Akios reels and feel a good baitcaster gives me better control throughout the battle with the brutes, great videos.

Awesome video! Thanks for all the info about your approach to making it happen. Just wondering what kind of bait do you normally take with you? Not just for snook but basically overall. Sorry for being so nosy, Im currently learning about saltwater since Im thinking of moving to Florida. Thank you in advance for everything.

QUESTION. i have 80 lb mono that i cannot seem to straiten out, i even tied it to my chair and made it taught for 24 hours. AND I CURLED BACK UP AGAIN. what do i do. will i still catch fish?

Alberto (braid to mono)
Palomar (braid to tackle, leader to hook)
Clinch (leader to hook)
Quickest and and strongest knots IMO. :)
