Hi, i recently got a footer and fish out of ponce inlet, i been acquiring some top waters and now looking for some good bottom water jigs for the beginner. and also my lowrance got the top water temps around 83 degrees and another 2 miles out the water temps fall to about 78, i am new to all the freshwater and trying to avoid useless dinky sharks, will the cooler water and jigs deter them? btw there really isnt much structure to fish either so i have been trolling and looking for mid and top water fish but with no luck.

I believe you about the seas, I've gone back and looked at videos I made when it was 1-2, and it literally looked like a lake in the video, which 1-2 is of course very calm, but my point is you don't see any wave action until they get 2-3 and beyond, but I do call BS when I see videos of people out in center consoles saying it was 6-9. If you are in a smaller boat in 9 footers, even at camera level the waves would be well above your head.

I know what you mean about rough, I had a 21 ft and got beaten to death but now got a 30 ft pro Kat and you talking about a huge difference
